2023 IPMI Booth Experience

I had the opportunity to design and execute an immersive booth experience for the 2023 International Parking & Mobility Institute’s (IPMI) Conference that went beyond traditional trade show setups. My goal was to create a space that not only captured attention but also fostered meaningful interactions, leaving a lasting impression on attendees. From concept to execution, I focused on aligning the booth’s design, messaging, and engagement strategies with our brand’s core values—ensuring every element resonated with our audiences. Through a combination of visuals, interactive components, and storytelling, the booth became a dynamic hub where industry professionals connected, learned, and experienced our brand in a way that felt personal and memorable

The concept

Since the conference was held in Fort Worth, Texas—a city rich with cowboy heritage and Western charm—I designed the booth to immerse attendees in an authentic Texan experience. The goal was to create a space that felt like stepping onto a classic dude ranch, blending rustic appeal with interactive elements to draw visitors in.

A grand ranch gate welcomed attendees, setting the stage for adventure as they entered a scene straight out of the Old West. A lively saloon provided a central gathering spot, encouraging conversation and engagement in a relaxed, Western-inspired setting. The showstopper was a life-size bull, an eye-catching feature that not only added to the atmosphere but also became a must-visit photo opportunity.

Tying it all together was the booth’s tagline: “Wrangle Up the Right (Parking) Solutions,” inviting attendees to engage, explore, and discover solutions in a fun and memorable way. From the cowboy-style hospitality to the immersive setting, the booth captured the spirit of Texas while delivering meaningful connections and industry insights.

The Communications

To maximize our presence at the conference, I developed a creative, multi-channel campaign strategy across social media, email, and the company website. Each piece of content was crafted to reflect the theme of our booth, capturing attention and generating excitement.

During the conference, I published a steady stream of real-time updates, sharing session updates and interactive booth experiences. This kept our audience engaged both in person and online. Post-event, I continued the momentum by highlighting our most meaningful interactions, recapping insights, and reinforcing connections made at the conference.

This approach not only drove traffic to our booth but fostered ongoing engagement with our audience, ensuring our brand remained top-of-mind after the event concluded.

The Experience

I seamlessly carried out the booth’s theme across various materials to create a cohesive and immersive experience.

I designed slideshows and presentation templates that ran on monitors built into the booth, ensuring that the visual appeal and messaging were consistent. Additionally, I created eye-catching inserts and flyers that effectively drove traffic to our booth, enticing attendees to engage with us. These projects worked together to reinforce our theme and enhance the overall impact of our booth.
